Tuesday’s Tests are Designed to Empower.. Rise!

Updated: Sep 29, 2021

If you think that you’re going to get away with killing the Monday Madness without a fight, let me set you straight. Victorious Mondays are important! But just because you won the battle doesn’t mean you get to drop out of the spiritual war. So, buckle up my people; Tuesday has arrived... so let's Rise!

Let’s start with projecting power. In 2011, Dr. Robin Rosenberg (Ph.D., 2011) wrote an article on how assuming a superhero stance (legs spread apart, arms on hips, head raised high, shoulders back) for just five minutes at the beginning of your day can change your outcomes. The stance projects power and has an immediate effect on your personal outlook. You become a conqueror, a hero, unstoppable. According to research power poses can even change your hormone levels, producing testosterone, which is often considered a victory hormone, well before you even begin the challenge! Rise!

My body tells me that the veal stance is way better. That’s the one where I lay in bed and watch TV, perfectly still, doing nothing, eating whatever, and vegging out…like a veal! Once in a while, we all take on the veal stance. Many men that I know take on the Veal Stance from August to February, every Sunday, Monday, and Thursday (NFL Season). Women do it too… I take the lead on that one any moment I can get. But like everyone else, I have to make money, get kids to school, cook dinner (every other night), make sure kids get showered and in bed before I can declare a day has ended, and throughout the day I am tested to see if I have learned since the last spiritual assessment. So then back to superhero stance… You don’t have to strike a superhero pose in public. Find a private spot. Take deep breaths, don’t think you can conquer the day… KNOW that you can conquer the day. There is no test too hard to pass if your breathing, thinking, anticipating, and seeking the answers beyond yourself. Rise!

So then, let's strike a pose! Before we stand in the stance, let’s get on our knees and give God all the glory. Ultimately, God gave you the power to conquer above and beyond anything you are facing in this present day!

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
